![]() ![]() If you would like the alarm to arm the movement sensor automatically as well as the immobiliser (or this has already been done and you would like to revert to immobilisation only) please consult the user guide available here Can you tell me how to remove my alarm? ![]() The alarm only needs to be disarmed before turning the ignition on or removing the seat (if the seat has a trigger switch fitted). It is a Thatcham requirement that the alarm arms the immobiliser automatically as a minimum. The standard setting for the S4 Red is to arm without movement detection so the bike can still be moved around without setting the alarm off. Can I turn off the automatic arming on my S4 Red? Please contact us directly for further information. Scorpion Automotive does not supply parts directly. Your local Datatool dealer or mobile installer can supply all relevant spare parts. Off came the tape, used a multimeter to identify the correct two wires to bridge and finally the bike was priming on the ignition and the bike was alive :D Just wanted to post this in case someone else finds themselves in the same position, the bridge on the plug is very easily overlooked on the diagram as it almost appears to be part of the component drawing! My guess is that these plugs are probably purposely there for alarms/immobilisers as they provide power and a break point for the fuel pump circuit.Where can I buy spare parts / remote controls? After a lot of head scratching we spotted the bridge on the wiring diagram. When I had fitted the new battery the pump did not prime and I was getting no power to the fuel pump relay. Initially I had simply taped up the plugs as they were after having removed the alarm. In stock configuration there must be a plug inserted which actually bridges two of the wires, these relate to the fuel pump relay. Important point to note about the 'diagnostic plugs' found with the taillight connector. Just wanted to rap up this post as I finally got the bike running again today with the alarm removed There was only one cut to repair in the loom, a green/yellow wire, part of the starter circuit. ![]() With all the connections close by I'm convinced I should be able to get this out fairly easily, always looks a lot worse than it is! Appreciate your thoughts anyway I'm also confused by the 5 black wires with yellow blobs coming out the end of the loom where the taillight connector is, are these wires normally there and where do they go, thinking they are ground? They have been wired into a connector block that seems to have all but one on one side of the block. These connectors are on the end of a load of alarm wires, mainly spliced connections. Looking at the pic below, am I right in thinking the black/grey plugs would normally be connected? Reading the manual, it states that to remove the assembly only the main taillight connector needs to be removed, however on my bike 4 smaller connectors have to be removed. The unit is tucked up by the taillight and almost all the connections are into the taillight loom but I'm struggling to figure out what's what. After a flat battery a few weeks back I've decided to remove a datatool system 3 before fitting the new battery. ![]()
